Criminal Law Department
The Department of Criminal Law aims at training highly qualified specialists for law enforcement, judiciary, prosecutors and other government institutions, guarding law and order. All this requires the faculty of the department continuously improve the quality of the educational process, the right combination of academic knowledge and skills, which gives an alloy of expertise needed specialists to resolve difficult situations in the exercise of justice.
The department is forms a training process, based not only on the task of training highly qualified specialists and education developed personality, capable of orientation in the modern world.
Currently, the department conduct lectures and workshops Professors Lavrov, V.P, Markov, A.Y, Zakatov, A.A, Rarog A.M, Pobegailo E.F, Truntsevsky Y., Zhalinsky A.E, A.S Nikitin, Assistant Professors: Sidorenko V.N, Galouzeau V.N Vavilov L.V Cap I.A Volodin, B.G, M. Nazarkin and others.
"Criminal Law", "Criminal Procedure Law (Criminal Procedure)", "Criminal Executive Law," "Forensics", "Criminology," "Public Prosecutions", "Administrative Law", "Law enforcement" and other disciplines are taught in the department. The Department pays special attention to the undergraduate teaching, which examines both substantive and procedural law, judicial practice materials allowing to ensure the rights in action.
The department is constantly working to improve the educational process, incorporating the active forms and methods of teaching, electronic educational and methodological complexes, as well as topics on comparative legal research, the study of foreign experience.
Textbooks, teachers of the department issued by a number of publishing houses in Russia, are widely known not only in the country but also abroad. The faculty of the department makes a significant contribution to the revival of criminology as a branch of scientific knowledge, scientific investigation of problems of qualification of crimes related to intellectual property concerns the effectiveness of sanctions, their differentiation and individualization, is involved in advanced stages of development of criminal procedure, the procedural safeguards in criminal law proceedings, etc. Research quickly reflected in a substantial part of courses in problem-themed courses. The department regularly conducts scientific conference, attended by teachers and other departments of the Faculty of Law IIEL, and also produces collections of scientific works, among which can be distinguished collection of "The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: current problems improve."
